Making Plone More Wide Spread
Plone is a great piece of software, I'd like to make it more spread and known among IT and content authoring crowd. We should create a special site with this domain name or similar (just like was done for firefox) to gather a strong and promoting user community.
On Such a site I would like to see:
- Very quick one click links to download the latest release
- Verified instruction for a buildout + zopeskel install as depicted in optilude's book
- Known issues / bugs / pitfalls loud with large fonts and whatnot to make sure every issue has workaround and update when a fix gets out, possibly a mailing list help.
- A place for testimonials and feedback so new users landing on the page would be able to see much like twits in common social networking sites.
I'd like to sprint about that and start working.
